Federal Reserve Board member Edward M. Gramlich will begin treatment Monday for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) – a form of leukemia that can be treated successfully. Governor Gramlich will be treated with chemotherapy on an out-patient basis at Georgetown University Medical Center. While he will take time off for each treatment, he will continue to fulfill his duties as a Board member. His doctors believe his prognosis is good. Of the four common forms of leukemia, CLL is the most treatable.
