Release Date: February 17, 2005
For immediate release The Federal Reserve Board on Thursday announced improvements to its web site to make the statistical releases and historical data easier to use. The statistical releases are now grouped by subject area instead of frequency of release (for example, daily or weekly). The subject areas are principal economic indicators, bank asset quality, bank assets and liabilities, bank structure data, business finance, exchange rates and international data, flow of funds accounts, household finance, industrial activity, interest rates, and money stock and reserve balances. The redesigned page also now incorporates links to Board surveys, such as the Survey of Consumer Finances. The redesigned index is at http://www.federalreserve.gov/releases/default.htm Since 1914, the Board has published statistical information on the U.S. economy and banking industry in various formats. Titles and numbers of the statistical releases have changed through the years. A new publication on the Board's web site, The Federal Reserve Board Statistical Release Publications History, can be used to trace these changes.
