For immediate release The Federal Reserve Board announced on Wednesday that it is seeking nominations for appointments to its Consumer Advisory Council. The Council advises the Board on the exercise of its responsibilities under various consumer financial services laws and on other matters on which the Board seeks advice. The group meets in Washington, D.C., three times a year. Ten new members will be appointed to serve three-year terms beginning in January 2006. Nominations should include a r�sum� and the following information about nominees:
Nominations should also include the nominator�s complete name, organization name, title, mailing address, e-mail address, and telephone and fax numbers. Letters of nomination with complete information, including a r�sum� for each nominee, must be received by August 26, 2005. Nominations not received by August 26 may not be considered. Electronic submission of nominations is preferred. If electronic submission is not feasible, the nominations can be mailed (not sent by facsimile) to Terri Johnsen, Associate Director, Community Affairs, Division of Consumer and Community Affairs, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, 20th Street and Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20551.
