To install, download these files:

scf04capi.exe

scf04capi.exe is a self-extracting zip file which will install Surveycraft
and the SCF questionnaire in c:\MT7.

After unzipping the files, a shortcut for SCF 2004 should exist on the
desktop.  If the shortcut is not installed on the desktop:  To run Surveycraft,
click scwin.exe in c:\MT7 or drag the SCF 2004 shortcut to the Windows
desktop.

NOTE:  If you changed the default installation path to something other than
c:\ (when prompted by the Winzip self-extractor), you will also need to change
"C:\" to that path in the properties of the SCF 2004 shortcut:

Right-Click the shortcut and change the "Start in" path that says c:\mt7 to
<yourpath>\mt7  (where <yourpath> is the path you selected).

Once in SurveyCraft, you will need to select a job.

Type the letter J.  You will be routed to the Job Maintenance Module.  Make
sure MAINIW is highlighted, then strike <ENTER> once.  You will be returned
to the main SurveyCraft menu.

Back at the SurveyCraft main menu, type C for CAPI entry.  Enter a case number
between 1 and 10.


Keys used to navigate Surveycraft questionnaires:


KEY or KEYSTROKE COMBINATION	MEANING

Bolded letter in menu option    Executes that particular command.  In your CATI
                                menu, you will only be able to Select a Job, enter
                                a case in CATI mode, or Exit.  Just strike the
                                bolded letter to execute the command.

<F2>                            Marginal comment

<F8>                            Don't Know
<F9>                            Range (for dollar amount questions)
<F6>                            No typical payment (for certain dollar amounts)

[F10]                           Restore current response data

[PgUp]                          Back up one variable

[Home][PgDn]                    Restore all responses to first unanswered question
(hold down Home and strike PgDn)

[Ctrl][End]                     Exit case and write data to questionnaire file
(hold down Ctrl and strike End)
