| At the Federal Reserve Board from September 27 through November 30, 2004 On loan from Romanian national collections, the works by these five painters and two sculptors are being exhibited together for the first time in North America. The artists, including Constantin Brancusi, learned their technique in Parisian ateliers and returned home to establish a school of modern art. The Board has co-sponsored the exhibit with the National Bank of Romania. |

| The exhibit also features the works of Theodor Aman (1831-91), Nicolae Grigorescu (1838-1907), Ion Andreescu (1859-82), Stefan Luchian (1868-1916), Theodor Pallady (1871-1956), and Dimitri Paciurea (1873-1932). Additionally, the exhibit includes two early works by Constantin Brancusi (1876-1957), the legendary Romanian-born sculptor who was one of the founders of modern sculpture. |
