TO THE OFFICERS AND MANAGERS IN CHARGE OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS SECTIONS:
RE: Community Contacts System
The Community Contacts System (CCS) provides a central repository for information related to community contact organizations, contact personnel, and Contact Forms. The CCS was designed to enable users to enter, update, and query community contacts related to a Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) examination. In addition, the CCS can provide information on community contacts for conference mailings and distribution of publications.
System examiners are required to create a Contact Form and save it in the CCS for all community contacts made during CRA examinations. The CCS is shared by staff from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Reserve System, the Office of Thrift Supervision, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. System examiners are encouraged to review the contacts in CCS to determine if any of the contacts are relevant to the CRA examination they are conducting.
Version 2.2 of the CCS is now available through each Reserve Bank's CCS Liaison. Attached are key features and enhancements for the new version. For more information on the new version of the CCS, please contact the CCS Liaison listed in the attached document, Senior Information Systems Analyst Theresa Bugg at (202) 452-3938, or Oversight Senior Review Examiner Bill Coffey at (202) 785-6053.
Sincerely,
