The Federal Reserve Board today announced its approval of the application by Royal Bank of Canada, Montreal, Canada, and RBC Centura Banks, Inc., Rocky Mount, North Carolina, under sections 4(c)(8) and 4(j) of the Bank Holding Company Act, to acquire Eagle Bancshares, Inc., and its wholly owned subsidiary, Tucker Federal Bank, both in Tucker, Georgia. The Board also announced its approval of the application by RBC Centura Bank, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, under section 18(c) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act, to merge with Tucker Federal Bank.
