The Federal Reserve Board on Tuesday announced its approval of the application and notice filed by National City Corporation, Cleveland, Ohio, to acquire Provident Financial Group, Inc., and its subsidiary bank, The Provident Bank ("Provident Bank"), both in Cincinnati, Ohio.
