Statement by Chairman Alan Greenspan:
"I welcome the announcement that President Bush is nominating Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., for a second term as Vice Chairman and nominating Ben S. Bernanke for a full term as a Governor of the Federal Reserve Board. "In making these nominations, the President affirms the many contributions Governors Ferguson and Bernanke have brought to the Board. They are exemplary public servants, with strong experience and sound judgment. The Board will benefit greatly from their continued service, upon their confirmation by the Senate." |
