A lease with a lower monthly payment but a higher rent charge will generally have a higher early termination payoff and a much higher purchase-option price at lease end. It may not represent as good a deal as a lease with a higher monthly payment but a lower purchase price at lease-end, particularly if you think you may want to buy the vehicle at lease-end or think the vehicle will be worth more than the purchase-option price so you can purchase it, trade it and receive the difference.
