Statement by Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke:
"I am very pleased the President has announced his intent to nominate Don Kohn as Federal Reserve Board Vice Chairman. Governor Kohn has made crucial contributions to the work of the Federal Reserve in his more than thirty years of service. He is highly respected by his colleagues for his sound judgment, keen analytical insight, and strong leadership. I look forward to working with him in this new role upon his confirmation by the Senate."
