  • Who can be invited to or apply for the courses in the Federal Reserve System training course catalog?
  • Participation in these programs is limited to staff and officials from other central banks and supervisory authorities who are sponsored by their institution.
  • Can online applications be submitted for all courses?
  • Applicants who are sponsored by their institutions should apply online for all courses in the catalog except the two programs held jointly with the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Registrations for these programs are handled by a committee of organizers who will send invitations to all institutions. Online applications for these two programs are not available.
  • Who teaches Federal Reserve System courses?
  • These courses are taught by Federal Reserve System staff and officials who are subject matter experts actively involved in their fields.
  • Is tuition charged for any of these courses?
  • There are no tuition fees for Federal Reserve System or FFIEC programs outlined in the catalog. The Options and Risk Management program (also known as the Options Institute) offered by the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) carries a US$1075 tuition fee. Participants are requested to pay the tuition fee directly to CBOE on the first day of the program. Participants are responsible for all transportation, travel, food and lodging related costs.
