2. Reflects the effect of Financial Accounting Standards Board Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No. 87, Employers' Accounting for Pensions (SFAS 87). The System Retirement Plan for employees is recorded on behalf of the System on the books of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, resulting in a decrease in expenses of $10,652 thousand.
