Levels and unadjusted transactions from staff estimate based on analysis of the Financial Report of the United States Government that describe Department of the Treasury actions under the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), combined with unpublished monthly OFS Summary to Validate Amounts on the MTS - All Funds_Direct Loans_Equity, TARP Equity Financing Fund, Disbursements, sum of transactions labeled "Equity PPIP" completed in the quarter. Capital gains are equal to the change in the level less unadjusted transactions. Data for the most recent ten years show no significant seasonality.
