The database contains names of companies and individuals that seek System approval to acquire a bank holding company, savings and loan holding company, bank, savings and loan association, or nonbanking company in a transaction that is subject to the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956 (12 U.S.C. 1841 et seq.), the Change in Bank Control Act (12 U.S.C.1817(j)), the Home Owners' Loan Act (12 U.S.C.1467a), Regulations Y, LL, MM, and other applicable statutes and regulations.

Searches can be performed on one or more of the following criteria:

• Applicant or notificant--the company or individual who seeks to acquire the bank holding company, bank, or nonbanking company or to engage in a nonbanking activity
• Acquiree or activity--the bank holding company, bank, savings and loan association, or nonbanking company to be acquired or the proposed activity
• Reserve Bank--the Reserve Bank at which the application is filed
• Section--choices are notices filed under the Change in Bank Control Act (CIBC), section 3, or section 4, of the Bank Holding Company Act, and both sections of the (BHC) act, or the Home Owners' Loan Act (HOLA)

Note: Comments regarding the applications and notices must be received at the Reserve Bank indicated or the Board of Governors no later than the end of the public comment period. The public portions of the applications and notices, as well as other related filings required by the Board, may be obtained on an expedited basis by contacting the appropriate Federal Reserve Bank. Applications and notices also may be obtained from the Board.
