Prepare for Your First Day

Your first day at the Federal Reserve Board consists of a highly interactive orientation program. You'll learn about the purpose and structure of the Board... the value of your benefits... the human resources programs available to you... building security and computer security... and how to get around the buildings.

  • Plan to arrive by 8:45 a.m. on your first day.
  • Bring a government-issued photo ID (such as a valid passport or driver's license).
  • Come to the Board's offices at 1850 K Street. We recommend you take DC Metro to the Farragut West station. You should report to the third-floor guard station, and you will be directed to the training room. Keep in mind that public parking is available at our K Street facility at your own expense, and there is no all-day street parking available nearby. See directions for Getting to the Board.
  • Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
  • Training should last until around 2 p.m. after which a staff member will direct you to your new office.
  • Complete your employee information forms and bring them with you on your first day of employment. (They will be used to set up payroll and benefits information.)

We look forward to seeing you on your first day!
